MLP Group makes its Hamburg-region debut with a new logistics and business park
MLP Group, a leading European logistics and industrial real estate platform, will develop MLP Hamburg East (Geesthacht) on a speculative basis. Located in the “Grüner Jäger” commercial area, the project will provide around 31,000 sqm of warehouse space, 2,300 sqm of office space and 3,200 sqm of mezzanine space. Flexible unit sizes will accommodate a broad range of occupiers from the manufacturing, logistics and distribution sectors. Demolition works are expected to begin by the end of this year.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027. The site was acquired from a private owner, with real estate services firm Savills acting as adviser to the transaction.

The site benefits from strong transport links and convenient access to key markets across northern Germany. Its proximity to the B5 and A25 provides direct connections to Hamburg, while the B404 towards Lüneburg, the B207 towards Mölln and Ratzeburg, and the A24 towards Berlin further enhance its strategic location.

MLP Group is targeting DGNB Gold certification for the development. The sustainability concept includes heat pumps, a photovoltaic system enabling on-site power consumption, rainwater infiltration systems and a flexible design allowing the space to be adapted to alternative uses. The warehouse areas will be constructed in compliance with AwSV regulations (the German ordinance on facilities handling substances hazardous to water) and will be suitable for storing batteries and goods classified up to Water Hazard Class WGK 3.
