Żabka Polska, the owner of the Żabka and Freshmarket store chains has signed an agreement with MLP Group for the lease of 24,700 square meters of space in the MLP Gliwice logistics park. Out of that space, nearly 23,800 square meters will be used for warehousing purposes, including approx. 4,000 square meters of cold stores and deep freeze stores. The remaining space will be used for social and office purposes. The facility is to be delivered in November 2017.
– We are happy to sign a contract with the owner of Poland’s largest chain of convenience stores. It is yet another retail chain that decided to cooperate with us. The contract with Żabka Polska proves that our offer is well perceived by demanding partners. We are convinced that the MLP Gliwice logistics park that we are developing will attract more companies that are willing to invest in the region ” – added Piotr Krawczyk, BTS Projects Manager at MLP Group S.A.
– Our development strategy focuses on the execution of BTS projects and on a significant expansion of our logistics parks. This strategy has contributed to rapid growth in business volume. In 2017, we intend to maintain the pace of growth at least at the previous year’s level. In addition to the park inGliwice, we would like to launch several new projects in Poland and also near Dortmund in Western Germany and on the Romanian market near Bucharest – added Radosław T. Krochta, President of the MLP Group S.A. Management Board.
– A new logistics center in this part of Poland is a consequence of the dynamic expansion of our store network. Since we want to fully satisfy the needs of our customers in terms of the availability and quality of products, we decided to build another facility in this region. We want to be as close as possible to our customers and to our franchisees, so we have committed to the continuing development of our logistics architecture. In execution of such large projects we want to work with the tested business partners – said Krzysztof Andrzejewski, Vice-President of the Management Board and COO of Żabka Polska.
MLP Gliwice is located just 6 km north of the center of Gliwice. A big facilitation of the Park is proximity to the A1 (Tricity- border with the Czech Republic) and the national road 78, which connects the Park to the Katowice airport. This excellent location makes MLP Gliwice an attractive destination for many business industries. MLP Gliwice is a modern logistic park under construction and when completed shall comprise of two A class building totaling over 61,500 sqm of warehouse and light industry buildings.
