MLP Group speeds up

Last year, the MLP Group signed 32 lease agreements for a total of over 220,000 square meters of warehouse space. This is twice as much as the year before. The last quarter was particularly successful – lease agreements for nearly 80,000 square meters were signed.

In 2017, MLP Group signed 32 lease agreements for a total of over 221,800 square meters of warehouse and office space. Out of this area, 90,200 square meters were leased in newly completed projects. The remaining leases from last year were mainly renewals by the existing clients (77,500 square meters), extensions of the leased warehouse space (37,800 square meters) and leases of finished space to new tenants (16,300 square meters).

The most space among new clients was leased by Żabka Polska. MLP Group will provide it with nearly 25,000 square meters in the MLP Gliwice logistics park. In turn, Avery Dennison, the manufacturer and distributor of labels and self-adhesive materials, leased 13,300 square meters of space in the MLP Pruszków II park.

The fourth quarter was particularly successful – lease agreements for nearly 79,400 square meters were signed – more than in any other quarter. Only Q1 came close to this figure – contracts were signed for over 72,000 square meters. As at the end of last year, MLP Group had 460,000 square meters of completed warehouse and production space, and further 92,000 square meters were under construction. At the same time MLP Group has land with construction permits to build further 340,000 square meters.

– This was another successful year for the MLP Group – we doubled the size of leased space compared to the year before. This year we do not intend to slow down. We are thinking about two new investment projects in Poland. At the same time, we have a huge growth potential in the existing parks. We also want to invest more in speculative buildings. Outside Poland, the German market is our priority. We will start building three parks there. This will be Unna and Mönchengladbach in the Ruhr Area and a location in southern Germany. In Romania, in turn, we already have the construction permit and are planning to start the construction in Q3 2018. The execution of these projects will give us further very dynamic growth of the Group’s value – emphasized Radosław T. Krochta, President of MLP Group S.A.
