MLP Group parks go biker-friendly

MLP Group has financed the construction of two rental stations launched in the Pruszków City Bike system. The stations have been developed in the sites owned by the MLP Pruszków I and MLP Pruszków II logistics parks.

Pruszków has launched a city bike system. Two of the six new self-service rental stations have been launched in the sites of MLP Pruszków I and MLP Pruszków II logistics parks. Their construction was financed by MLP Group, the owner of these facilities. The construction of the remaining four stations located in Pruszków has been financed from public funds. Each station is equipped with a bike rental terminal and bike stalls into which bicycles will be locked. The residents of Pruszków who register in the system have in total 48 city bikes at their disopsal. In addition, the bikes are available to everybody who has an account in the Veturilo system. The first 20 minutes of each ride is free of charge.

“Our logistics parks are the workplace for many residents of Pruszków and its vicinity. Thanks to the system their ride to work or journey home will be quick and environment-friendly. At the same time, location of the rental stations in both of our parks will also facilitate travel around each of these centers, which are spread over tens of hectares. This additional form of transport will certainly be useful to renters and will increase the attractiveness of our facilities” – emphasized Agnieszka Góźdź, Head of Leasing Department MLP Group S.A.

“Pruszków is the first town where a private sponsor is involved in launching a city bike system right from the beginning. MLP Group is one of the leading developers of modern warehousing space in Poland. City bikes can be used by employees not only during their daily commute but also during the day, facilitating travel between the logistics parks and even within the parks” – says Tomasz Wojtkiewicz, president of Nextbike Polska, system operator. “In Pruszków we are starting with 48 bikes, but I’m sure that the system will catch on and city bikes will stay in town for a long time.”

The Pruszków City Bike system consists of 6 stations: Robotnicza Street, Jasna Street, WKD Pruszków Station, Park Mazowsze, MLP Pruszków I and MLP Pruszków II. Each of them is equipped with a bike rental terminal and bike stalls into which bicycles will be locked. The rental stations are self-service and you can use the bikes round the clock, seven days a week. All you need to do is register at the website www.pruszkowskirower.pl and top up you account in the system with at least PLN 10, from which the rental fees, if any, will be charged.
