MLP Group launches investment project in Germany

MLP Group will build a new logistics park in the German market. The investment project will be developed near Dortmund on a 12.5 hectare plot. The first tenants should move in to the new facilities in 2018.

MLP is planning to develop the first logistics park in the German market close to Dortmund in Unna. The investment will be developed on a plot of 12.5 hectares. Currently the site development plan is being prepared to determine, among others, the target warehouse space of the facilities. MLP Group assumes that the first tenants will move in to the logistics park in 2018.

“The German market, despite the existing high supply of warehouse space, is still very absorptive and prospective. That’s why we see Germany as a strategic direction of our development. We chose the Dortmund region as the location of our first investment project – it is one of Germany’s most popular locations in the logistics industry. We are convinced that our warehouse offering with competitive rent levels will attract great interest among tenants” – said Radosław T. Krochta, President of the Management Board of MLP Group S.A.

The investment is planned in a very attractive location in north-eastern part of the Ruhr Area. The Ruhr region is one of the biggest sales markets in Europe, which makes it very attractive among logistic operators. The area is highly urbanized in terms of a dense network of motorways and expressways, or close proximity of the railway network and the airport. The planned investment project will be located only 25 km from the container terminal in Dortmund.

Currently, the Group operates 8 logistics parks in Poland: MLP Pruszków I, MLP Pruszków II, MLP Poznań, MLP Lublin, MLP Teresin, MLP Wrocław, MLP Czeladź and MLP Gliwice. Based on the
development agreement, the Group is responsible also for commercialization of the MLP Bieruń logistics park, sold in 2015. In addition, the Group has reservation agreements for purchase of new plots for the planned logistics parks. As a result, the current and potential real estate portfolio managed by the MLP Group comprises in total 11 operating logistics parks located in Poland.
