InPost expands business relationship with MLP
The largest independent logistics operator is set to move into more MLP Group centres, with over 26,000 m2 of modern warehouse space to be handed over to InPost in 2020. From then on, the logistics company will operate from three key locations in Poznań, Gliwice, and Wrocław. All the facilities will be built to suit, featuring cross-dock areas. The transaction was completed through Cresa, a real estate advisory firm.

Poland’s largest independent logistics operator, InPost is rapidly expanding its business relationship with MLP Group. The company provides modern services to both retail and institutional customers, including comprehensive support for the e-commerce industry. Its own technology and logistics resources allow it to operate countrywide.

To keep up with the fast-paced growth of our parcel locker network (5,000 machines throughout Poland) and courier services, we have decided to enter into new leases with MLP Group that would allow us to expedite the distribution of our growing package volumes. The newly leased space at MLP Wrocław West and MLP Gliwice will increase the capacities of our existing locations in the regions of Lower and Upper Silesia. MLP Group perfectly understands our needs, as demonstrated by the sorting facility already delivered to us in September at MLP Poznań West – says Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost S.A.

All the facilities will be sited in Poland’s warehouse hubs, near large urban agglomerations. The first facility, with an area of 8,800 m2, was already completed and delivered for occupancy in September last year at the MLP Poznań West logistics park. In 2020, MLP Group will have built another two facilities for InPost at MLP Gliwice and MLP Wrocław West, with an area of ca. 17,400 m2. As for MLP Wrocław West, the logistics operator will be the first tenant in the newly built logistics centre. Each facility will comprise approximately 7,700 m2 of warehouse space and 1,000 m2 of modern office space. All the three projects are being executed on a build-to-suit basis and equipped with cross-dock areas for efficient unloading, picking and handling of courier shipments.

We are delighted to see our business relationship rapidly expand. We employ the latest technologies to provide our customers with a high standard of service, while tailoring our facilities to specific tenant requirements – said Agnieszka Góźdź, Head of the Sales Department for Poland and Romania at MLP Group S.A.

Representing the tenant in the transaction was Cresa, a real estate advisory firm.

Their positive experience so far with MLP Group nd the project locations were key factors for our client in making the decision. We are pleased that InPost’s requirements regarding delivery timing and technical specifications have been met by the developer – says Katarzyna Bojanowicz, Business Development Director at Cresa Poland’s Industrial & Warehouse Department.

MLP Group parks are logistics centres located conveniently in the most attractive regions of Poland. MLP Wrocław West is sited in the Kąty Wrocławskie district, about 9 km from the city of Wrocław, MLP Poznań West – in the western part of Poznań on the S11 road, and MLP Gliwice – approximately 6 km from the city centre of Gliwice.
