DS Smith will move into MLP Czeladź

The packaging manufacturer has leased approx. 6500 m2 of warehouse space in the MLP Czeladź park. DS Smith will move into the facility at the end of the second quarter of 2019. The tenant was represented in the transaction by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.

DS Smith signed a contract with the MLP Group to lease approx. 6500 m2 of space in the MLP Czeladź logistics park. Out of that, about 1000 m2 will be used for production, another 370 m2 for offices and the remaining space for warehousing purposes. The completed facility should be delivered to the tenant at the end of Q2 2019. In the transaction the tenant was represented by Wiktor Kordowski, Junior Consultant at BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.

DS Smith is a leading European supplier of packaging manufactured in accordance with the client’s individual specifications, with particular emphasis on the newest design concepts. The company is able to meet any market requirements offering a broad range of high quality industrial and transport packaging, FMCG, displays and POS packaging, customized protection packaging and cardboard pallets.

“MLP Czeladź is one of our newest projects with still large potential for further expansion. At the same time, it is quickly becoming popular because of its many advantages. Among others, the logistics park has excellent connections with towns and cities of the Silesian agglomeration. Additionally, we are preparing a bus stop and a tram stop at a close vicinity to the main entrance gate. This will be an important improvement in access to municipal transport for our employees,” emphasized Piotr Krawczyk, BTS Project Manager at MLP Group S.A.

MLP Czeladź is a modern logistics center, which after completion will offer 5 A class buildings with a total space of 74.2 thousand m2 of warehouse and production space. MLP Czeladź is particularly attractive for our clients because of its excellent location within a short distance to main roads. The park is located near the hub connecting the A4 highway to the S1 expressway, 15 km from the Katowice airport, 11 km from the city center, in the vicinity of the S86 expressway from Łódź to Tychy.

“Selection of an optimum warehouse was of key importance for the future development of DS Smith. The Silesian voivodship is the second largest market for warehouse space in Poland, both in terms of supply of space and pending investments in warehouses. Thanks to the benefits offered by the location within the agglomeration and excellent road connections, Czeladź is an attractive location for the tenant”, added Wiktor Kordowski, Junior Consultant at BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.

The MLP Group logistics parks are very highly rated by their tenants, which was confirmed by a prestigious Eurobuild Awards 2018 award granted to the MLP Pruszków I center in the “Warehouse of the Year” category.
