MLP Group is rapidly adding new names to its tenant list at the MLP Poznań West logistics park, currently undergoing extension works. Another agreement has been signed, with Mainfreight Poland, for the delivery of nearly 3,200 sqm of space. Over 2,700 sqm will be used for warehousing purposes. The facility is planned to be completed and handed over early this year. A few months later, office and staff amenity space of nearly 500 sqm will be ready for occupancy.
Mainfreight is a global logistics operator offering managed warehousing, domestic and cross-border transport and international freight forwarding. It provides road, air and sea freight forwarding services. The operator has branches in Australia, Europe, New Zealand and the Americas and continues to expand its global footprint. Given its extensive range of operations, it also requires specific warehouse space conditions. The company is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange. It has been present on the Polish market since 2004.
“We are gradually getting near to leasing all space available at MLP Poznań West park. We still have several thousand square meters available within the park’s target space. MLP Poznań West is among the most popular logistics centres within our portfolio. We provide our tenants with superb facilities, while deploying solutions designed to benefit the environment. All our newly constructed buildings are BREEAM certified,” said Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board, Chief Development Officer at MLP Group S.A.
Ultimately, MLP Poznań West will offer approximately 141,000 sqm of cutting-edge warehouse and office space covering an area of 29 ha. The height of newly built units will be raised to 11.5 m. The logistics centre is located on the western side of Poznań, near the S11 expressway, only 7 km from the A2 motorway junction. Its prime location makes the centre attractive to various businesses.
The lease of the warehouse follows from Mainfreight’s rapid growth in the Polish market. An important factor in the client’s choice of the new space was the location and standard of the space offered. Attention to detail and careful design showed us how important it is for the company to create a convenient work environment for employees. We are pleased with the results of our cooperation and would like to thank the Mainfreight team very much for their trust,” concluded Magdalena Taciak, Negotiator at Cushman & Wakefield.
The contractor responsible for building the warehouses at MLP Poznań West is W.P.I.P., which is expert at building and equipping technologically advanced and sustainable industrial facilities with solutions meeting high environmental standards.
