The project to build the MLP Poznań West logistics centre is gaining pace. The foundation stone laying ceremony was held last Friday. The target leasable area of the park is 83 thousand m2. The first facility, currently under construction, will be used by InPost, and its delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
The logistics operator leased 8.5 thousand m2 of space featuring state-of-the-art logistics equipment. The facility will comprise a cross-docking warehouse for efficient handling and picking of shipments, as well as modern office and welfare space.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the project owner, the general contractor and local authorities. MLP Group, the owner of Poznań West, was represented by Radosław T. Krochta, President of the Management Board and CEO, InPost – by Dariusz Lipiński, Vice President for Operations, and W.P.I.P. (general contractor) – by Janusz Signetzki, Vice President of the
Management Board. The representatives of the local government were Tomasz Łubiński, Deputy Governor of the Poznań District, and Adrian Napierała, Head of the Dopiewo Commune.
During the ceremony, Radosław T. Krochta, MLP’s CEO, noted: “Our strategic goal is to develop logistics hubs at premium warehouse locations. We are particularly keen to establish close partnerships with tenants as early as at the project design phase. This facilitates construction of modern space that meets the specific requirements of our customers and is tailored to their business needs. Such an approach resonates with the market and allows us to dynamically expand the business. MLP Poznań West is our another project in the Poznań region. I am very pleased with how MLP Group’s relationship with InPost has panned out. I hope that soon we will have the pleasure of greeting more tenants at our park in Dąbrówka,” he added.
Dariusz Lipiński, Vice President of the InPost Management Board for Operations said: “The launch of a new location in the Poznań market will allow InPost to continue business expansion and strengthen its market position. We are rapidly developing our network of parcel lockers and courier services. The new warehouse and sorting facilities will enable us to provide quality service to our customers in Poznań and the region. The project location and the delivery time were crucial in selecting the winning bidder.”
“We are about to commence construction of modern warehouse facilities with an area of 7,500 m2 and a height of 12 m, with twelve cross docks, a 1,000 m2 two-storey office building and over 20,000 m2 of internal roads, parking lots and manoeuvring yards. We plan to complete the project in four months, and let me assure you – we will meet the deadline. We have a great deal of experience in building warehouse facilities,” said Janusz Signetzki, Vice President of the Management Board of W.P.I.P.
