MLP Group is rapidly growing its tenant portfolio at the extended MLP Poznań West logistics park. A new client is Cosentino Poland, which has signed a lease for just over 4,100 sqm. It was agreed about 3,800 sqm would be used for warehousing purposes, with office space to take up over 300 sqm. This part of the facility will also include a showroom. Once completed, the warehouse space will be handed over to the tenant in early 2023. The tenant was assisted by Colliers in finalising the transaction.
Cosentino Group is a Spanish-based global family-owned company that manufactures and markets innovative, high-quality materials for the architecture and design industries.
‘We are happy to have a new tenant on board with us. We have built the contracted space on a speculative basis with full confidence it would be quickly commercialised. Facility construction is at an advanced stage, and we will be able to hand over the finished space for use by Cosentino Poland early next year. MLP Poznań West is among the most popular logistics schemes within our portfolio. We provide our tenants with superb facilities, while deploying solutions designed to benefit the environment. All our newly constructed buildings are BREEAM certified,’ said Tomasz Pietrzak, Leasing Director Poland at MLP Group S.A.
‘Cosentino has been present on the market for more than 40 years. It has grown from a small stonemasonry business in southern Spain to a family-owned corporation with logistics centres around the world. The company has been rapidly growing its business in Poland since 2016. The stellar performance of the Warsaw and Katowice centres has paved the way for another project – a warehouse in Poznań. I am confident this is just the beginning of our investments in Poland,’ said Andrzej Włodarczyk, General Manager at Cosentino Poland.
‘The Poznań region is among the most-sought locations for tenants in Poland. Good infrastructure, its proximity to the western border and access to skilled labour make companies from various sectors eager to move here. I believe that this, combined with the modern space of the MLP Poznań West park, will provide Cosentino with perfect conditions for continued fast growth,’ said Dorota Koseska, Senior Associate of the Logistics and Industrial Space Department at Colliers.
Ultimately, MLP Poznań West will offer approximately 141,000 sqm of cutting-edge warehouse and office space covering an area of 29 ha. The height of newly built units will be raised to 11.5 m. The logistics centre is located on the western side of Poznań, near the S11 expressway, only 7 km from the A2 motorway junction. Its prime location makes the centre attractive to various businesses.
The contractor responsible for building the warehouses at MLP Poznań West is W.P.I.P., which is expert at building and equipping technologically advanced and sustainable industrial facilities with solutions meeting high environmental standards.
