In H1 2018, MLP Group signed 22 lease agreements for a total of approx. 100,300 square meters of industrial and office space. Out of this area, 55,500 square meters of space was leased by clients in newly completed facilities. Transactions covering a total of 39,700 square meters of space were for extensions of expiring lease periods by existing clients. The lease of the remaining 5,000 square meters, in turn, was associated with increasing the industrial space they lease.
The area leased in H1 was nearly 3% bigger than in the corresponding period last year, when 97,800 square meters of space was commercialized.
The largest number of contracts for commercialization of a total of nearly 29,600 square meters pertained to the MLP Pruszków I logistics park. The total of 23,100 square meters of space was leased in the MLP Pruszków II park. The remaining transactions pertained to the logistics centers in MLP Lublin, MLP Wrocław, MLP Poznań and MLP Bieruń.
“This year we leased more space than last year, which was also very good for us. At the same time, over half of the space was located in newly developed facilities. This shows our systematic growth. We are planning further expansion of the logistics parks and execution of new projects. In addition to development in the Polish market we also expand internationally, in Germany and Romania. This provides us with a huge potential for development and continued growth in the Group’s value,” emphasized Agnieszka Góźdź, Director of Sales Department in MLP Group S.A. “The growth in the next periods will be driven mainly by the expansion in the German market, which is our priority as a strategic market for further growth.” Ms. Góźdź added.
Currently it operates eight logistics parks located in Poland: MLP Pruszków I, MLP Pruszków II, MLP Poznań, MLP Lublin, MLP Teresin, MLP Wrocław, MLP Czeladź and MLP Gliwice. Based on a developer agreement the Group is also responsible for commercialization of the MLP Bieruń logistics park sold in
2015. In Germany the Group currently operates two logistics parks – MLP Unna and Mönchengladbach. In Romania, in turn, the Group bought land for development of a new logistics park – MLP Bucharest West. In addition, the Group has plots of land and reservation agreements for the purchase of new land for planned logistics parks. As a result the current and potential portfolio of real properties managed by MLP Group includes in total sixteen logistics parks located in three European markets.
