Construction of a modern facility for an international manufacturer of furniture accessories and LED lighting is proceeding according to plan. The key phase of the project, with Pekabex in charge of its execution, has been completed. The traditional topping-out ceremony was attended by representatives of GTV, general contractor Pekabex, subcontractors and MLP Group.
The investment, which is being carried out as part of the MLP Pruszków II logistics park, will deliver approximately 32,000 sqm of modern space. Of this amount, GTV intends to use more than 30,200 sqm for storage purposes. Large and modern glazed office space on three floors will occupy 1,600 sqm. Construction of the new D1 warehouse began last August. The handover of the new building to the tenant is scheduled for April this year.
D1 is the largest facility of all built by Pekabex at MLP Pruszków II. It will have 38 loading docks. A new checkerboard facade painted green and gray will make the facility stand out in the logistics complex. Pekabex plans to obtain the BREEAM New Construction certificate with the Very Good rating for the project. D1 is also the first warehouse at MLP Pruszków II where MLP Group has implemented the Dalux construction management software.
“This is the tenth contract we are performing for MLP Group. I am extremely satisfied that Pekabex, as one of the largest construction companies in Poland, was selected by you to build the D1 warehouse. We take pride in the fact that we have completed one third of the warehouse space of the logistics park in Pruszków. I hope we will complete together many more projects and hold many more meetings such as this one to celebrate our successes. I wish the tenant, GTV, comfortable and convenient use of the facility,” said Tomasz Seremet, Member of the Management Board of Pekabex S.A.
“The MLP Pruszków II logistics centre is among the largest warehouse complexes in the Warsaw agglomeration. It is at the same time one of the most popular and fastest growing projects in our Polish portfolio. The new facility being built for GTV is another investment intended for our long-time partner, who has already leased from us more than 20,000 s qm of modern space. We extend our thanks to Pekabex for the swift and efficient implementation of the project. The still significant potential for expanding the logistics park allows us to grow together with our tenants and flexibly adapt our offer to their increasing needs,” added Tomasz Zabost, Member of the Management Board of MLP Group S.A.
MLP Pruszków II is a modern logistics centre located in the municipality of Brwinów near Warsaw, five kilometres from Pruszków. With a target leasable space of 420,000 sqm, it is the region’s largest logistics complex. Selected buildings have been awarded the prestigious BREEAM certification. In line with MLP Group’s ESG strategy, solar PV systems are mounted on rooftops.
Thanks to its flexible approach to individual tenant needs, the centre is able to meet the requirements of clients representing various industries.
“By choosing a build-to-suit facility from MLP Group, we were able to adapt the warehouse and office space and its layout to fit the needs of our business and our logistics operations. The needs are varied, as GTV offers items from many product groups: from furniture accessories, sliding systems and LED lighting, to hand tools and work safety clothing. It is almost 12,000 products in aggregate. When choosing a new logistics complex, we couldn’t not pay attention to environmental aspects. It is very important to us that the buildings at MLP Pruszków II are environmentally friendly and BREEAM-certified,” said Arkadiusz Marcyjanik, GTV Logistics Director.
MLP Pruszków II has well-developed transport links with central Warsaw as well as the main arteries connecting the capital with other cities. The park is located between local road No. 760 and the A2 motorway, three kilometres from the junction in the Pruszków-Żbików area. The international railway lines located in the hub’s vicinity make for excellent logistics conditions both for domestic and international distribution. There is a bus stop on the premises as well as a Nextbike self-service bike rental station.
