Norbert Philippen to support MLP Group’s business growth in Germany and Austria
Bringing with him a wealth of experience, Norbert Philippen joined MLP Group in early April to head the technical project management area. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for planning, coordination and monitoring of projects throughout the German and Austrian markets.
With over 23 years of expertise in project management in the German market, Norbert has honed his skills through various roles, including a recent tenure at OSMAB Holding AG, where his focus was on logistics properties. With the background as a certified architect and engineer, he began his career in the role of a planning architect specialising in project acceptance and execution planning. Throughout his career, spanning more than a decade and a half, he has gained extensive project management experience across diverse asset classes and complex property development ventures.
“Besides our commitment to sustainability, we maintain a continuous focus on new projects in the German and Austrian markets. The addition of Norbert Philippen to our team bolsters our capabilities with a seasoned manager adept at navigating the myriad technical challenges inherent in project implementation,” stressed Martin Birkert, Country Manager Germany MLP Group.
“Germany and Austria hold significant strategic importance within MLP Group’s international expansion plans. Particularly in Germany, we observe a strong trend of technologically advanced businesses relocating from Asia, accompanied by substantial inflows of Asian investments. Currently, Chinese companies represent a sizable portion of our prospective clientele, interested in leasing modern spaces and moving their operations to Europe. Our dynamic growth in the region solidifies our position among the forefront of developers active in the European warehouse property market,” said Radosław T. Krochta, President of the MLP Group Management Board.
Presently, the developer has a portfolio comprising five business and logistics parks in Germany and one business park in Austria. With more projects in the pipeline, the Group plans to strengthen and expand its presence especially in the regions where it has already established a foothold, i.e. the Ruhr area, Brandenburg and Hessen land. In Austria, the spotlight in 2024 will be on imminent completion of MLP Business Park Vienna, strategically situated near the heart of the capital city. Handover of the completed space is scheduled for the end of this year.
